Your running sheet is something best left until last as you want to ensure that there are minimal changes required (if any). Generally your running sheet will be prepared by you and your wedding planner and/or MC, however your venue and catering team will play a large part as well so be sure to discuss prior drinks, meal times, cake cutting, desert, end of night refreshments (coffee, tea and water), and doors close with your venue or caterers to confirm their times prior to completing your final schedule. Nowadays it is becoming more common to follow a less traditional style of wedding and it is important to remember that there is no right or wrong way of celebrating. Include everything you wish to include and don't feel obliged to include something if you don't feel that it represents you and your partner. Below is a typical list of inclusions (in no particular order) to help you when piecing together your night; - Entertainment and MC arrival times. Including bump in time and start time. - Meal times. Include entrée, mains, desert, buffet times etc. - Guests arrive (ceremony & reception) - Guests seated (ceremony & reception) - Entrance of bridal party - Housekeeping announcements. MC to discuss schedule, smoking areas, toilets etc. - Grace - Bridal waltz - Father/Bride Dance - Guests joining dance-floor - Speeches - Cake Cutting - Removal of the garter - Throwing of the Bouquet - Set Times for entertainment (bands, DJ's etc) - Farewell Circle - Doors Close - Wedding Car arrives Once your schedule is completed it is important to provide a copy to all service providers. The more people that are aware of the schedule the better chance of the night running to plan, so provide a copy to the venue, entertainment, MC, photographer, children supervisors/entertainers, caterers, bridal party etc.
